What are you most proud of? I love that combining a few relatively simple techniques (half-square triangles for piecing the top and circles and straight lines for the quilting) can create such a visually appealing result!

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Don't be intimidated -- it's easier than it looks! It was actually the stitch-in-the-ditch quilting (which isn't even visible in the pictures) that gave me the most trouble, but go slowly and don't give up.

I also like the way the heavier quilting in the neg space pops the colored chevrons. I guess one benefit of using a regular home sewing machine is the ability to switch back and forth between walking foot for the "ditch" quilting and FMQ. My favorite part is how the circles form a subtle border effect, it reinforces the zigzag while introducing a soft shape. I'd love to have that quilt!
