|Here are some details about my project:|
|Style||Classic, Romantic, Retro / Vintage|
What materials did you use? I used 1 1/2 yards of cotton jersey and Alabama Chanin's Swing Skirt pattern from Natalie Chanin's Alabama Stitch Book. I air brushed the Rose Stencil with Createx paint mixing up a dark gray using black and white paint. It is hand sewn and beaded with black Coats Button and Carpet thread and black glass bugle beads.
What are you most proud of? Just the coming together of this project. The airbrushing, sewing, cutting and the bead work. It was a beautiful experience.
What advice would you give someone starting this project? Give yourself plenty of time to complete this project and try not to rush. There is almost a feeling of sadness once it is complete. Mainly because it was worked on over a period of time and becomes a part of your life. You have such an insightful introspection during the experience. I recommend all of her books. The craftsy class is just icing on the cake!
