Thank you for showing back and front of the shirt from your question. What I'm seeing is a full rounding of the upper back. You need a little more length and width right in the high spot to make that shirt fall nicely. With a yoked shirt, it can help to enlarge the yoke by lengthening and curving at the lower CB.

Yes there is rounding in the upper back. But there is plenty of width and length already! Look at the ginormous folds of fabric hanging around the arm. How does one alter the pattern to remove those?

The width and length is not in the right place. (An analogy might be that what you have here is too much room around your wrist when you really need it at your upper arm.) Take a look at the drag lines that go from the armhole to the yoke. These drag lines are pointing to where you need to add room.

As you've pointed out, there is lots of room in the shirt body - maybe even more that what is needed. Please take a look at my projects. I've made a drawing to show you how to add the room where you need it. We're using the same principal as taught in the class but in this case you'll be adding the room to the yoke and the back. Follow the drawings from left to right. Notice that nothing happens to the grain line at CB and the armhole seam does not grow. We're just adding a little more width and length and some shaping. When you make this kind of adjustment, it allows you to get the extra room where you need it without having to go up sizes.
