What materials did you use? Cotton fabric and batting

What are you most proud of? I'm glad that I tried this out, but was disappointed by how the center and outer border weren't balanced in 'tightness' (not sure if that's the right way to explain it).

What advice would you give someone starting this project? If you choose this type of design, keep in mind that it will really 'shrink' your fabric alot. So, either do it much looser on the border than I did, or use a denser center quilting design to balance it better. The unevenness really shows on the back picture.

Very nicely done. Thank you for the tip/info on the shrinking of the piece with this type of quilting.

This is such a great place to learn. Everyone is so helpful. I was hoping to help someone else avoid this situation, too. I think it would have worked fine had I done it larger. It is a pretty design alternative.

I am most impressed by how curvatious and smooth your curls are.

This is gorgeous! I see what you mean about the "shrinkage" but honestly I think it really adds an unexpected happy finish to this really neat quilt. Thanks for sharing. This is very inspirational. Gotta try this design :D
