What advice would you give someone starting this project? Take your time. Enjoy the process. Every time I needed to change the stitch for this apron, I would cut my threads on the serger, remove them, then re-thread the machine. I am getting familiar with changing needles and using different stitches.

This. Is. ADORABLE! I love the blue fabrics you chose, and the gathering is lovely. I'm so happy to hear that you're taking the plunge and cutting your threads when you change your stitches. That's the best way to get comfortable with your machine, so I'm really really glad to hear you're taking control of it. Very nice!
