Did you use a fusible to apply the hankies to the base fabric and then stitch them on?

Hi. I used fusible spray to make the quilt sandwitch but just pinned the handies to the sandwitch and attached the hanky to the block by quilting in the ditch around the hem of the hanky. Then I quilted the inside of the hanky. Once quilted I squared the block so each block was the same size.
