What needles did you use? US 10 1/2 / 6.5 mm / UK 3

What materials did you use? Local alpaca that had been spun at a mill, two markers, a tapestry needle, a crochet hook, scrap yarn, and two straight needles,

What are you most proud of? I altered the pattern significantly by deleting many of the interior lace stitches. I shortened the cable to 12 stitches and worked only the first five stitches after the cable and before the cable. I used one knit stitch for the center point.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? By deleting so many stitches, the pattern is very easy to remember and quick to knit because you can stop midway through a row and be able to easily read where you are in the two row repeat. Using the heavier weight yarn allows you to move to fewer stitches and still get similar results.
