What are you most proud of? The way the band around the cake turned out and also the jewelry on the sides.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Give it a try. Just follow the directions in the class.

Also I feel that you would benefit from the classes because it is the techniques that are taught. I have taken several classes taught by a man. Please give it a try. You will be amazed at what you is available.

Most pastry chefs, skilled chefs etc., are Men!!!. Surely they had to start somewhere and be shown by someone, not sure why you take offence is because the word women is suggested. I take a class at the moment and three men are also taking the class, they are not offended because there are more women, actually they quite like the attention and all the tips they receive. Try it first before offence meant just pointing out a few facts.

... And now onto your cake and away from the politics. I think this is stunning. Having enrolled on the class and watched it several times, i love how you have adapted Marina's ideas and made them your own. Great work. I would be delighted to havevthis as my cake. Happy birthday... Just a shame you can't eat it!

lol - thank you. It is good to hear about the cake vs. politics.

lol - I didn't know I would start something like that by posting a cake.

You did a nice job turning a large cake into a small cake. That often isn't easy to do and make it look right. Well done. Just enough stuff to make it pretty, not too busy.
