At 6 years of age, scraps of lace found their way onto my doll’s clothes. Later, sewing skills advanced to making a kilt then art quilts. I began knitting in 2006, when seven months pregnant with my second child. With two children in diapers, a full time job, a husband, a farmhouse on 5 acres and 2 cats, knitting became my meditation. Watercolor painting, seed beading and gardening are also prevalent in my studio.Largely self-taught through books, with emergency help from knitting friends and my LYS, I find myself knitting during lunch breaks, sport practices, scout meetings and every evening before reluctantly sleeping.
