My knitting history; Many, many years ago, I was taught to knit by my dear Irish grandma. She was poorly educated by today's standards, not well off and did not have a lot of riches to share. Instead my dear grandma, with a third grade education from the old country and a heavy brogue on her tongue, shared her love and her knowledge of knitting. She was such a sweet, dear heart. Then came the Girl Scouts, my troop leaders pushed me to knit more seriously but still, it was just flat, garter stitch work and purling. I have been knitting off and on since those early days but was never really satisfied with my product. Fast forward to a few years ago when I discovered **Knitting Haven,** a lovely little corner of the internet where I was encouraged to further flourish my needles. I asked questions, got answers and found some lovely yarny friends. Now I design in yarn and write a few simple knitting patterns. There are some great ladies on Knitting Haven's webpage. :-D Thanks a big bunch Holly for creating this site for us to gather in No really, thank you. And thanks to all those involved in answering my many questions and helping me solving my knitting messes/problems, you all rock. My books (my fiction ramblings) are on Amazon through this link; http://www.amazon.com/Ann-C.-Cooney/e/B0052T7QG0/ref=ntt_athr_dp_pel_pop_1 These days I'm mostly knitting though. My patterns are all right here. I try to keep the my pattern prices as reasonable as is realistic because, as a knitter, I know I would much rather spend my precious funds on lots of lovely, delicious yarns. Those patterns that took me great mental gymnastics and much time ripping out, rethinking and redoing, will cost a bit more. For the most part, I think you find my patterns very fairly priced. Feel free to contact me through Craftsy, or on my author, designers page on Facebook to learn what's new , I love hearing from my fellow knitters. I will try to resolve any confusion I may cause with typos or temporary lapses of sanity during my writing out of patterns. Feel free to contact me on Facebook with any issues; https://www.facebook.com/NancyOBrienACC. Keep knitting, knit happy!
