Made some washcloths for my grandmother last Christmas… Sadly she is not using them because she has a hard time ringing the water out of them (arthritis shoulders). Wondering if using a bigger crochet and smaller stitches (for the same size washcloth) would make them easier to ring? or should I split my yarn?
Any advice would help, thanks

In reply to Lori Woerner. Congratulations on the new baby. Might I suggest the "Modern Grace Baby Blanket". You can find it by googling or checking Raverly. It's beautiful and simple and makes up quickly. It's my go to pattern. In my opinion, a closer stitch works better for babies because their fingers and toes get caught in the holes. I’ve only used the DC. Watching videos till my eyes say no more now. Reading info on stitches and how to… been 50 years since I sat with my Beloved Mother and learned. She’s watching saying come on Lor, you can do this.
I am also about to create a baby blanket (girl) and am wondering…
…might you be able to suggest a slightly open stitch, that is still goot-n-warm. Or an i best off with a solid blanket, as winter is on its way here in a fast manner.
We dropped 20 degrees over night and it barely warmed. The great mid west. One hour south of Chicago, we still get Bitchen cold here. So baby, 2 weeks old, needs _________.

Please can some chime in and give me your opinion.
