SpongeBob pineapple cake

This SpongeBob SquarePants creation by Andrea’s SweetCakes is absolute perfection! The round cake serves as a canvas to portray the underwater scene and includes personalization in a design corresponding back to the overall theme.

The character’s three-dimensional pineapple home is carved and covered in fondant details, while given depth and interest with the use of shading via airbrush. SpongeBob and his fellow sea-dwelling friends are flawlessly modeled and displayed throughout the cake and the textured cake board. Integrating every aspect of the cake, including the board, presents a beautiful display.

This adorable SpongeBob SquarePants cake by Bluprint contributor Lesley Wright is the perfect example of an amazing design being sculpted out of a sheet cake! Originally inspired by a piñata, the cake is carved to the desired shape, then covered in fondant and cleverly decorated to resemble the character with three-dimensional elements. And again, the board is incorporated into the design with a personalized message utilizing fondant letter cutters. See Lesley’s full SpongeBob cake tutorial for specific tips and instructions.

SpongeBob hamburger cake

The SpongeBob SquarePants character in the cartoon holds a job at the local hamburger joint called the Krusty Krab, where the Krabby Patty is the food of choice. The Little Cherry Cake Company transformed this incredible layered cake into giant Krabby Patty hamburgers, inclusive of all the fondant fixin’s!

The main characters were also modeled out of fondant, while the birthday girl’s name is displayed on a banner. The cake is finished off with a number topper to reflect the guest of honor’s age, providing further personalization to this super cute and creative cake!
