Soller, Majorca

Project Description

What was your source for this photo? Improvisational Tell us more about what inspired you. On holiday in Majorca with my new Nikon D3200 camera, I saw this tram (I think it started life in San Francisco, but I'm not sure), which goes back and forth between the town of Soller and the coast at Port de Soller. The sun was shining on a street-side café, the leaves making dappled shade and I quickly took this photograph as the tram came towards me on its way back to the Port. What is exciting or interesting to you about your photo(s)? The way the light dapples the pavement café and the contrast of the orange tram. What are you most proud of? Getting a really nice photograph on the spur of the moment using no skill whatsoever!

What you will need

  • My Nikon D3200 DSLR camera
  • set on "Auto" I'm afraid - I'm about to embark on a course in photography so hope I shall have learnt enough to enable me to use the manual settings before my next holiday!

Q&A with patz in suffolk

GrannyZil asked:
Very nice! Love the lighting.
patz in suffolk answered:
Thank you! It was all very "spur of the moment" and therefore accidental, but I was very pleased (if not surprised!) by the result.
NanaJeanFL asked:
Wonderful shot!
patz in suffolk answered:
Thank you!
Love those street cafes , not too many of them here in Suffolk
patz in suffolk answered:
We don't really have the weather for them, with the wind straight off the North Sea, do we?
