What are you most proud of? I think my favourite image of this set is 'Mycena inclinata 1' - probably because I like the detail in the toadstools and the background has been thrown out of focus because of the lens characteristics at this focal length. The 'Mycena inclinata 2' image is probably a better landscape, as there's more to make it an 'autumn' photograph, with fallen leaves berries to complement the fungi. The stream is also in better focus. What advice would you give someone starting this project? Be there for the experience. I find it almost spiritual to be a part of it. Get there early, before the slugs start to eat the fungus' flesh and before the dog walkers wreck the peace (and the subjects). I've often seen deer and woodpeckers by being there in good time - these disappear as soon as the first dog appears.
