Cape Flattery, WA

Project Description

What are you most proud of? Composition and subject What advice would you give someone starting this project? Photographing from boat can be challenging, especially in the ocean. A fast shutter speed is important and timing when you take the picture to coordinate with the movement of the boat is helpful. Because there was fog part of the time I set the ISO to 400, then set the f stop to 4.0, although I shot at f8 some of the time.

What you will need

  • Canon 7D
  • 24-105L lens with polarizer
  • shot taken from boat

Patricia.Owen asked:
No question (you answered it in previous post - taking photo from a boat) - just wanted to tell you I love the picture! I recently hiked the short trail to the point and was amazed at the beauty of Cape Flattery - this photo of yours gives a completely different perspective that now makes me want to go back and see (photograph) the area from waterside! Thanks for sharing!
