Brave February blossom

What was your source for this photo? Improvisational What is exciting or interesting to you about your photo(s)? I have a new camera and had not yet tried to use it on anything other than the "auto" settings. However, I have just begun an evening course in photography and we were sent out on an assignment to photograph anything we liked, but were asked to use anything but "auto". At the last minute, before the class where I was supposed to be showing my "homework" I went out and took this photograph of blossom on a tree. What appears to be "camera shake" is probably due to the fact that it was a very windy day and so I was holding the branch with one hand and the camera with the other! (Well - that's my excuse, anyway!) What are you most proud of? I'm very pleased to have focused on the flowers and to have blurred out the background, which consisted of a rather ugly road and a grass verge.
