Pattern Description:

Scruffy is quick and easy to make. An excellent soft toy for babies, toddlers even tweens. His tail is a convenient loop, ready to hang from a stroller or car seat. There are no buttons or loose pieces to come off. He's easy to clean too, machine washable, gentle cycle (provided washable fabric used). Safe for babies, loved by all ages.

The instructions include full-color photos and full-sized pattern pieces, 21 pages total. Also includes Scruffy the Wolf option with upright ears and wolfish face (see photo of wolf in grey).

Great way to use up scraps of fabric. He can be closed after stuffing by machine or with hand stitching.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • 8 1/2" tall x 4 1/2" wide (not incl. tail)


  • Fabric suggestions: cotton, flannel or fleece
  • 1/3 yard of main color (body, ears, tail) is more than enough for 2 dogs
  • Scraps for Face and Collar
  • Felt for eyes, nose
  • Stuffing
  • Embroidery floss for mouth

You Will Also Need:

  • General sewing supplies: scissors, pins, etc.
