I began sewing as a child - my mother did tailoring and alterations. In 2004, I began designing, making, and selling purses at arts festivals - I named my business Ms. Elaineous. In 2009, I opened Sew You Can where I taught sewing lessons. I closed my studio in 2012 to focus on designing patterns. You can follow me at http://mselaineousteachessewing.blogspot.com.
And my real name isn't Elaine - she's my alter-ego!
PATTERN STORE POLICY: E-Patterns are NOT REFUNDABLE.
If you are looking for the perfect wristlet to carry cash, cards, and your smartphone, then this is the project for you! Features include:
- two exterior zippered pockets
- two interior divided pockets
- interior (attached) pouch
- zippered closure
- detachable strap
This is an update from my previous smartphone wallet. After receiving feedback from friends, I made this a bit bigger and wider.
This project is designed for someone who is ready for a challenge and/or is at the intermediate/advanced level. Once you wrap your brain around the zipper, it's not that difficult to make. I've included a supplemental tutorial to help you with the zipper. The technique is unique and might pose some problems. In the ZIP file, I've also included other tutorials to help you master particular techniques.
My pattern is detailed but not wordy! I really break it down for those who might need more directions. If you are skilled, much of this is probably intuitive.
And, as with all my patterns, I find ways to make the whole sewing process easy! Enjoy! And please share your project.
On occasion, I will update the pattern to fix type-os and to clarify directions. Things make sense to me - so I rely on others to send suggestions my way! Thanks and enjoy!
