My mother and I made my first sewing project when I was 5: a drawstring purse out of a beautiful butterfly-print cotton. Years later, I'm still sewing, and I love to share my designs with others. My patterns and tutorials use couture techniques I studied in the fashion design program at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. I lived for 3 years in Paris, and Atelier Joy designs are inspired by the beautiful Parisian lifestyle. All tutorials include feminine details and couture techniques made easy with step-by-step instructions and photos. Use them to sew beautiful pieces that will last a lifetime.

The perfect purse for a night on the town or a holiday party. There's enough room for your essentials and even a lining with a pocket for a credit card or ID.
This petite purse can be made in 2 options: View A has a feminine bow on the front; View B has a piped pocket on the front. See photos for both views. The long strap can be worn on the shoulder or cross-body.
This would also make a great purse for a little girl. Just trim the length of the strap to fit.
The pattern pieces in the PDF are at 100% scale. No need to enlarge. Just print and cut.
This updated version includes the following changes:
1)All patterns are now at 100% instead of 50%, so there is no need to enlarge them.
2)I've included a lining top pattern piece, so the lining is now exactly the same as the exterior of the purse, and the whole purse can be lined.
3) The Patterns and Instructions are now in 2 separate files. They are compressed together in one zip file that is available for automatic download upon purchase. You will only need to print the Patterns PDF, and can use the Instructions PDF on your computer screen to save on printing.
