Basic Skills Necessary:

  • You need to know how to use your sewing machine and basic quilting tools.

Pattern Description:

This easy-to-piece pattern in 4 sizes (throw, twin, queen, and king) uses just fat quarters (FQs) and a little extra yardage for borders to make a contemporary and colorful quilt. I designed it initially for a wedding gift using an assortment of large prints; I think it looks equally stunning in blended batiks.

Although it looks complex, there are almost no seams to match and you can complete the throw size in a weekend. This pattern looks great in almost any fabric. It includes a bonus chart if you want to use up your scraps.

Once you make one, you'll be heading back to your stash for more of those FQs you've been accumulating to make another!

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • Four sizes are included: throw, twin, queen, and king.

  • You will need a sewing machine, rotary cutter, mat and ruler, and from 12-72 fat quarters of quilting fabric.

You Will Also Need:

  • You will also need thread, additional fabric for a border, binding, and backing, and batting.
