This bright breezy flying geese quilt comes together surprisingly quickly. The pattern includes step by step instructions to construct 4 flying geese at a time and to strip piece the piano key border. Over 40 color diagrams help you visualize the techniques and keep track of pieced sections.
The 1/4 yard cuts of fabric allow quick and easy strip set piecing for the border and greatly reduce the number of individual patches that need to be cut. However, if you prefer to use smaller scraps the pattern does offer an option listing the required number and sizes of patches required to piece the quilt without strip set piecing.
I started quilting in 2000, after years of wondering how to do it, and haven't looked back. As my children grow up I have more time to enjoy creating quilts from my own designs. I have been excited to discover that my creativity isn't limited to reproducing other people's patterns.
