Pattern Description:

You Can Do This!
Jump in! Be creative, there is something crazy relaxing about shredding a quilt! Maybe it's your first quilt, or the 100th, you'll get hooked! Use up your stash or start one, my customers and friends just have to hug and "pat" this cozy quilt!
If you don't have a stash of flannel fabric or find picking 14 different fabrics intimidating, check out my 2 print "Sweethearts and Peonies" quilt pattern here on Craftsy!
"Summer in the Park" is my most popular pattern and absolutely adorable!
This new "shredded" quilting technique is FAST & FUN!I promise you will get the most ooohhh's and aaahhha's when your gift of this finished quilt is opened! It is a perfect size for a KID'S THROW or a LAP QUILT! (My 98 year old Mom is rocking one at her nursing home ;)

LEVEL: CONFIDENT BEGINNER
I WILL TEACH YOU HOW TO MAKE THIS SHREDDED STYLE QUILT!
This itssewsally "Shredded Style" quilt is pieced, quilted, and backed ONE SQUARE AT A TIME then simply joined into the final adorable Quilt! (Need to keep your hands busy? It's a good take along project)!

You will find this 14 page PDF pattern/TUTORIAL full of useful information, hints, and tips to help the beginner and guide the expert, along with LOTS OF close-up photos, diagrams, and 2 full size applique templates included.
FOR FLANNEL FABRICS ONLY, this Shredded Style quilt will be too lightweight with regular cotton fabric.
This itssewsally "Shredded Style" quilt is pieced, quilted, and backed ONE SQUARE AT A TIME then simply joined into the final adorable Quilt!

A Perfect project for using up flannel fabric from your stash!

No Constant ironing! (You could make this quilt if you didn't own an iron)!

No fussy seam allowances, 1/2 inch throughout! (Leave that "scant" 1/4" behind for this quilt)!

No critical alignment or fussy applique stitching! Close is ok, you're going to clip and shred them!

Shredding is a huge stress buster, there is something therapeutic about shredding a quilt!

A little "wonky" might even help this "shabby chic'ish" quilt, it was created to have a soft and relaxed finished look.

I DO NOT ADD BATTING between the layers like some rag quilters do and do not include yardage or directions for batting. With 2 layers of background blocks & 2 layers of appliques (=4 LAYERS) they are warm & cozy with a soft lay. They are not too stiff, hot or heavy, they are just right!
