Have you ever wanted to make this traditional design, but not wanted to deal with the curves and inset pieces? Then this pattern is for you. Get the look of a traditional Double Wedding Ring without all the hassles!
This paperpieced version is made completely with straight seams. Make 12" blocks, then set them together, block to block, with a 9" border. Leave the fabric off of the edge of the border to have a traditional scalloped border.
It is simple to add more rows of blocks to make a bigger quilt and it's very easy to figure, since the blocks are the standard 12 inches and the border is 9 inches wide.
To print out this pattern, please use legal sized paper (8 1/2" x 14").

BONUS: Paperpiecing templates for 4" and 6" miniature blocks are included! A layout diagram for a 20" x 44" tablerunner is also given.

Well known for her Celtic knotwork designs for applique, sashiko, embroidery and quilting, Scarlett also enjoys designing delightful scrap quilts based on traditional patterns. She brings a unique perspective to these redesigned classic patchwork patterns, keeping the vintage look but using easier techniques for the construction.
All of Scarlett's e-patterns contain clickable links to Galleries showing more samples of each design and pictures of completed projects made by quilters who have purchased her patterns. Links are also provided for you to buy specialty notions like bias bars, fusible bias tape makers, preprinted Celtic knot blocks for embroidery or sashiko, thimbles, needles and other specialty items.
Please visit Scarlett's Etsy store, ScarlettRoseCeltic, to purchase e-patterns if you live in a country belonging to the European Union.
Until further notice, customers living in the countries belonging to the European Union will not be able to purchase e-patterns from Scarlett's Craftsy store because of the new VAT digital goods law that went into effect on January 1st. Any attempt to pay for e-patterns through PayPal will result in an error message for EU customers. All EU countries are blocked out.
All other international customers may purchase e-patterns without any problems. Scarlett is sorry for this necessary restriction, but the new VAT law is far too cumbersome for her to deal with for her independent pattern business.
