Basic Skills Necessary:

  • know the basics of how to fuse fabric
  • know basic hand embroidery stitches

Pattern Description:

You'll love this sweet little member of the Poppy Royal Family. She is made from fused fabrics and has simple hand embroidery stitches.

It's easy to create this wall hanging using an easy pattern transfer process for fused fabrics. Complete directions, pattern diagrams, and instructions for making the wrapped binding are included.

  • 13" x 16" green batik for background
  • 2 1/2 " x 5" blue to purple for stem
  • 6" x 6" red to purple for bud
  • 2" x 5" green for bud ruffle
  • 3" x 1 1/2" blue for bud top
  • 1" x 1 1/2" yellow for bud center
  • 2" x 2" red for pistils
  • 1" x 6" purple for dots
  • 6" x 10" green to blue for large leaves
  • 2" x 5" red for small leaves
  • 1 1/2 yards of fusible web (Wonder Under #805 recommended)
  • 11" x 14" batting (Hobbs Heirloom Premium 80/20 Batting recommended)
  • 11" x 14" Timtex stiff interfacing
  • 11" x 14" backing fabric
  • Black Sharpie Fine Point marker or lead pencil
  • Rotary cutter, mat, and ruler
  • Decorative rotary cutter blade (optional)
  • Size 8 or 12 embroidery thread
  • Size 4 or 5 embroidery needle
  • Machine quilting thread
  • Iron for fusing fabrics
