I am the Patchsmith. I patch, applique, sew and quilt. I have been creating a life of fabric, fun and friends for many, many years. I believe a pattern should be easy to follow, with clear diagrams and full-size templates. Value is also very important to me - both in terms of fabric wastage and to the buyer. Patchwork is about sharing and that is why all my patterns are priced for everybody to afford.

Green fingers are not required to grow these flowers - all you will need are basic sewing skills and scraps of fabric. If you don't want to patch the background you can use one 9" x 5.5" rectangle for simplicity and speed - the flowers will still grow and the butterfly will look just as gorgeous. You can make the flowers all the same or you can increase the scrappy charm by making each flower and leaf from a different fabric. Whichever you choose this mug rug will be bedding your cup and cookie in next-to-no-time with quick fuse applique and easy-to follow instructions.
All Patchsmith patterns come with colour diagrams and full size applique sheet. Whether you hand or machine stitch this little quiltie you will still have plenty of time to make one to keep and one to give as a gift.
This pattern is for personal use but permission is also granted to make this item to sell provided the item is handmade by you and you credit the Patchsmith for the design. No mass production allowed.
