This dramatic table runner takes very little time and can be made in a variety of lengths and widths to suit any table. Use reds, greens and golds to create a Christmas centerpiece or use another color palette to light up your table during any season.
My unique slashing and folding techniques will give the appearance of graceful curves and sharp points with no curved piecing or paper piecing. These are sometimes called Cathedral Windows curves, but the curves are used in new positions and patch shapes. This beautiful runner can be made up as a quick gift by anyone with intermediate quilting skills.

Hi! I am Janet Barker from Calgary, AB. I have been quilting for 14 years and have been designing my own quilt patterns for about 7 years. At the request of my guild, I started publishing my patterns in 2011. My pattern testers, customers and students have been very happy with their results using my new patterns. I love seeing another quilter's version of my designs!
My patterns often incorporate completely original blocks, or at the very least new twists on standard blocks. I have three types of designs - folded back bias curves (sometimes called Cathedral Windows curves), geometrics using "grout", and tessellations. So far I have not incorporated curved piecing or applique, but that may come!
I have an engineering degree and am a retired geophysicist; perhaps that is why I love the geometry of quilting! I hope that you will enjoy stitching up some of my designs.
