Basic Skills Necessary:

  • Advanced quilting skills including a scant 1/4" seam and working with bias edges.

Pattern Description:

Broken Arrows makes a striking lap quilt or table runner inspired by a Native American design. This quilt looks equally good in earth tones, sunset hues or southwest colours, as long as there is good contrast in value. Have some fun with this dynamic geometric design by jb.quiltdesigns.

This pattern has a cutting chart and illustrations of each step in construction, as well as quilting suggestions. There is no appliqu, curved piecing or paper piecing used in the quilt construction.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • Lap: 58" x 54"
  • Runner: 51" x 17"


  • For Lap Quilt:
  • 1 yd dark
  • 7/8 yd medium
  • 3/4 yd light
  • 1 1/4 yd very light
  • 3/8 yd zinger
  • 7/8 yd outer border
  • 5/8 yd binding
  • 3 1/4 yd backing

You Will Also Need:

  • twin batting
  • rotary cutter & ruler
  • 12 1/2" square ruler
