Basic Skills Necessary:

  • You should already know how to cut and sew strips and squares, using a 1/4" seam allowance and generally know a bit about quilting and finishing a quilt.

Pattern Description:

What a striking quilt! This looks so good in this simple colourway with just that little bit of red peeking out! I have also seen it using a lime green or a hot pink instead of the red and it looks fantastic. The narrow strips of colour are a little fiddly but should not be a barrier to making the quilt, it is really not too difficult.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • Approx. 57" x 69"


  • Approx 6 fat 1/4's assorted black with white fabrics
  • Approx 8 fat 1/4's assorted white with black fabrics
  • 1 1/8 yards red fabric for blocks and binding
  • 1/2 yard black with white fabric for inner border
  • 7/8 yard black with white fabric for outer border

You Will Also Need:

  • 62" x 74" batting
  • 62" x 74" baching
  • General sewing supplies
