If you make a small ball from your wool for the top of the foot, you don't need to cut the yarn at the side which means less ends to sew in.
Friends have knit this pattern, they said it was a bit confusing at first, but figured it out. The booties are adorable. I've just learned a friend is expecting in Oct, so I'll make some for her new babe.
Look up Baby Uggs on www.thingsforboys.com. Very similar and the instructions are very clear. I made them in Debbie Bliss Cashmerino so they are super soft
thank you very much. i bought this pattern. it was confusing, i asked a question and didn't get an answer. going to try again with the uggs pattern. have a super summer.
Unable to open pattern- not suitable for android? ??
It says to use 4 DPNs. How do you get a garter stitch on DPN's? Thank you.
What is DPNs? I'm new to knitting...
Double Pointed Needles
I don't find the pattern. What's up with that?
its on Ravelry
Can this be made into adult size house boots?
Under the cuff instructions, where it says "work in garter st for 10 rows", does that mean 10 total (back and forth 10 times), or 10 garter rows (back and forth 20 times)?
10 times in total
don't get me more confused
Thanks for the pattern can not wait to try it out
Hmm. Was just about to knit this, but like others am confused about why it states 4 DPN when the pattern itself indicates that it's knitted on two needles! Having knitted a few things, it doesn't seem to be quite clear, so to avoid something else in my 'it didn't work out pile', I'll pass for now!
I am confused by this pattern. Do you work in the round when you cast on the 15 sts. ?Not sure why the pattern calls for 4 DPNs if you do not work in round. I am a beginner and this pattern is confusing to me. Any help would be appreciated.
4 dpn's, you'll knit on two and use the other two as stitch holders. Can also be knit on straights, then you'll need to have stitch holders as well.
where is the pattern for this free bootee
Hi I wondered that too
You need to sign up and add it to your cart. You will not be charged for it as it is a free pattern.
This isn't downloading on my kindle fire. Is there a another way to get the booties pattern another way.
Boot-iful! It's so nice seeing new designs for babies . Can't wait to have a go. Had no problem opening pattern.
Can these be made for adult as house boots?
Hi I am new here , wondering how I get the pattern for the Oh Baby booties pattern can't seem to download it. I am doing something wrong.
Nope, you have to have pdf reader to get in and it doesn't download on Kinder fire so you have to use a computer. I just figuire that out.
The picture on the pattern doesn't look anythin like the picture advertised. Does the end product come out correctly?
Thank you so much for this pattern, can't wait to get them on the needles
I am very puzzled - work in garter stitch for 10 rows. cut yarn - please tell me what do I do with the 10 stitches????
question is wrong - will redo it!
The cut yarn is to be weaves in at the end of the pattern, so leave enough to finish it off nicely Happy knitting
back again. Cast on 15 sts -work in garter st. for 5" - turn and pick up and k 30 sts. What do I then do with the 15 sts - cannot figure it our?
Hi, I think you just cast off, then pick up the 30 stitches from the long side. It took me a while to figure it out!
Hi, I am wondering before I start knitting is the pattern correct. I've read it and I am confused.
sometimes you just have to start knitting and as you do it, it will become more clear.
I have two 1 year old great-nephews. These will be perfect for them next winter. Thank you so much for this lovely and unique pattern.
The pattern is definitely missing instructions. I found the same problems as others have reported and they came out HUGE!
mine too and they didnt look like the picture, not sure what Iam doing wrong!
did anyone find out if this can be enlarged for adults? If so, can I see the pattern? I am disabled and lovvvvvvvvve to knit. TY
at the end it says to split the remaining stitches onto two needles, then weave them together. I'm not familiar with that instruction, any further explanation about that? Do I knit them together? Otherwise this is turning out very cute! I used a multi color cotton yarn.
google "kitchener stitch"
How on earth do I get this pattern...there is no were to go to down load it...I cant find any where to down load any of the free patterns...is that why they are free..?
Add the pattern to your cart. Then add the pattern to your library. From there you should be able to download it.
do you have to buy something in order to get these for free
No. But you need to add them to your cart. You will not be charged for them but you need to treat it as a transaction.
What do they mean by "cut yarn" at the end of the Cuff portion of the pattern?
okay just winged it and its knitting up well now!
