Garter stitch cast on, knit and purl stitches, bind off (no lace!)
I work in San Francisco, one of the most beautiful cities in the world! My workplace overlooks the Pacific Ocean, which means chilly fog and wind most days of the year (and particularly in the summer!). I needed a larger shawl to keep warm outside, while looking cool inside. :)
Texelle (my play on "texture") was my answer to keep warm against fog and wind: generously sized, warm DK or worsted weight yarn, and a sampler of textured stitches - no lace!
If you've been dying to find a shawl without lace stitches or charts, Texelle might be perfect for you.
