Do you have this pattern in adult sizes? I would love to make them for my sister who is a 7 1/2 size. Thanks I still may buy this one too cause it would be a good gift especially if you don't know if the new parents are going to have a boy or a girl! Thanks!

Bought 3 of your Sock Monkey patterns, booties, youth and adult slippers. Made a pair of each for a friend. They came out so cute. My Hubby says we have a monkey factory here now...lol. I have pics on my Facebook page:

Your patterns are easy to follow. Only problem I had was with the heel of the adult and youth pattern. I finally figured to run the yarn through the heel portion and pull it up tight into a circle before stitching the back of the slipper shut.

I had the same problem but I came up with an easy solution. I cast on fewer stitches than indicated in the pattern and then in the 1st, 3rd (and sometimes 5th) row I knit into front and back of the center stitches. The heel comes out more rounded.

IF THIS MESSAGE IS NOT TOO LATE DEAR & MAY HAD BY NOW FOUND THEM. ON VERY TOP OF SCREEN OVER TO THE RIGHT IS THE CRAFTSY SEARCH BOX-YOU PUT IN WHAT YOU WANT SO TYPE CROCHET SOCK MONKEY {BUT DO NOT TAP ON TINY MAGNIFIER YET} UNDER THE SEARCH BOX & BE VERY CAREFUL UNDER THE SEARCH BOX IS A LIST- I DO NOT REMEMBER WHICH ORDER, BUT THERE IS A LIST GOING DOWN IF WANTING CLASS, PATTERN-I AM PRETTY SURE THERE IS SOMETHING ELSE, BUT CAN NOT THINK OF IT-THESE ELECTRONIC THINGS SHOULD HAVE SPLIT SCREEN SO WHILE YOU ARE IN ONE BUT NEED TO LOOK UP SOMETHING THEN CAN LOOK AT OTHER PORTION OF DEVICE TO SEE WHAT INFORMATION FORGETTING-IT IS ENOUGH TRYING TO FIGURE HOW TO USE IT & WHAT TERMS MEAN, WHERE IT IS & HOW TO DO WHAT DEVICE TERMINOLOGY MEANS AND THEN I ALL OF A SUDDEN LOSE WHAT I WAS TYPING AND HAVE TO START OVER- KNITTING IS WAY SO EASIER THAN ANYTHING-BACK TO YOU NEEDS DEAR, AS WAS TYPING BEING CAREFUL BECAUSE EVERYTHING IN DEVICES ARE USUALLY TOO TINY & CLOSE TO OTHER WORDS OR SYMBOLS. SO AFTER YOU TYPE IN CROCHET SOCK MONKEY BELOW TAP ON PATTERN I KEEP ACCIDENTALLY TAP MOST TIMES CLASS, QUIETE A FEW TIMES MY FINGER WILL TAP CORRECT ONE. I KNOW FOR SURE I HAVE SEEN AT LEAST 1 CROCHET PATTERN, DO NOT REMEMBER IF BABY BOOTIES OR WHAT AND NOT SURE HOW MANY IN CROCHET FOR I AM 4 WEEKS NEW TOMORROW & AS MANY TIME I HAVE BEEN IN THE CRAFTSY SEARCH BOX LOOKING FOR OTHER KNITS I HAVE SEEN SOCK MONKEYS, SOCK MONKEYS, SOCK MONKEYS EVERYWHERE AND KNOW FOR SURE 1 CROCHET SO I WOULD THINK THERE ARE MORE THAN THAT. THESE WERE POPULAR IN THE 1960'S MY SISTER 7 YEARS OLDER THAN I SAID SHE REMEMBERS THEM WHEN SHE WAS ABOUT 3 YEARS OLD, I AM GOING TO LOOK THAT UP & SEE WHEN THEY STARTED, BUT IT'S COMEBACK IT IS SO SO SO MORE POPULAR THAN BACK THEN, EVEN THOUGH IT SEEMED LIKE ALL CHILDREN (NOT US & WE ALL THOUGHT THEY WERE SO UGLY BUT NOW WE LOVE THAT IT HAS BECOME SO SO SO BIG). FOR IN CASE YOU DO NOT KNOW THEM FROM THEN OR ANYONE ELSE READING THIS- THEY WERE A STUFFED TOY MADE FROM REAL SOCKS, NO THEY WERE NIT SPECIALLY SOCKS MADE FOR CRAFTING. PEOPLE BOUGHT WILL MEN SOCKS STUFFED THEM MADE A FACE, HAD LEGS & ARMS SO NOT SURE FOR 1 MONKEY IF NEEDED 2 OR 1 PAIR OF SOCKS TO BUT AND CUT UP HOW WAS NEEDED TO MAKE THEM. I AM GOING TO SEARCH HISTORY & HOW IDEA CAME UP WITH, PROBABLY A LITTLE ONE A BABY OR TODDLER NEEDED SOMETHING & A MOMMY GRABBED DADDY'S SOCKS SEWED BUTTONS ON MADE A FACE SO TO QUICKLY MAKE UP SOMETHING TO KEEP LITTLE ONE BUSY. EVERYONE HAD JARS OF EXTRA BUTTONS, MOMS, GRAND-MA'S, NEIGHBOR LADIES EVERYONE DID FOR ALL OR MOSTLY ALL WOMEN WERE STILL DOING ALL THINGS THAT AS OF KNITTING OR ANYTHING ELSE AS BIG PEOPLE THINK HAS BEEN A BIG COMEBACK-NO SOMEWHAT QUITE A BIT-BUT FROM OUR TIMES GROWING UP, NO KNITTING AND ALL THINGS IS STILL SO FAR FROM BEING & I AM STILL WAITING FOR IT TO GO BACK AS COMMON AS BACK THEN WHEN MOST OR MANY MANY MANY MEN WERE STILL KNITTING. I TYPE STILL- BECAUSE MEN KNITTED AND ALWAYS HAD HUNDREDS, HUNDREDS & AS FAR BACK AS THOUSANDS YEARS. AND IN OUR COUNTRY MOST OF OUR FORMER PRESIDENTS, I THINK FORMER PRESIDENT DWIGHT D.(DAVID)EISENHOWER WAS THE LAST BUT FORGOT, YEARS AGO I GOT A BOOK FROM THE LIBRARY ON THE HISTORY OF KNITTING, WHICH I HAVE ALWAYS KNOWN MEN KNITTED, I DO NOT KNOW WHEN I DID NOT KNOW THAT. AND OF COURSE DWIGHT D. EISENHOWER "IKE" THE LAST 5 STAR GENERAL, FOR THEY NO LONGER EVEN HAVE THAT TO BE GIVEN, THAT HAS BEEN TAKEN AWAY AND CAMP DAVID, DWIGHT D. EISENHOWER NAMED THAT AFTER HIS GRAND-SON WOW OF COURSE HE KNEW GRAND-PA OR GRAND-DAD HOW MUCH LOVING CLOSENESS, BUT WOW THAT SPECIAL TO ANY GRANDCHILD. I ALWAYS KNEW FOR CERTAIN, BUT I MAY BE WRONG AND IT WAS HIS SON BUT I AM PRETTY SURE I THINK THAT IS WAS HIS GRAND-SON. AND MAMIE I MEAN HOW DARLING WAS THAT AS DARLING AS SHE WAS FORGET IF NICK-NAME BY FAMILY SINCE CHILD OR HER REAL NAME OR SHORTEN OR FROM GIRLFRIENDS OR HE STARTED CALLING HER THAT WHEN COURTING HER, BUT IT AND SHE WAS DARLING AND SHE LOOKED LIKE A MAMIE.

I wanted my pair to be tiny so I knitted them with DK yarn and a size 4 needle. All you have to do is increase the weight of the yarn and the size of the needle. The number of stitches would remain the same. You would pick the size of the bootie that would correspond to the size of the slipper you want. That is sort of a guessing gane. Also I sew some felt on the ball and heel of the slippers I knit. That way it is the felt that wears and not the yarn on the slipper.

The cuff is optional. You don't HAVE to add the cuff. The bootie is made in one direction, the cuff in another.
