where do you start the cuff ??I need help I have the bootie part done and if u pick up the sts for the cuff on the chain row it will look like a tube sock ??
Did you download the new pattern? It has a tutorial which shows the pick-up stitches much better than the original instructions - in a tutorial-format. It was a huge help for me.
Thank you for revising the pattern. I was so frustrated by the original instructions that I just used my own pattern to make a regular turned-heel baby sock, then added the ears and features.
Hi , where do u pick up the stitches to do the cuff Im stuck ?? Thank you
I made these for my grandson; cute!
How do I get this pattern and 5 others purchased today to download???
You can click on the pattern to the right of this post.... >>Or search "Sock Monkey Baby Booties" on craftsy.com!
I have tried everything to get the pattern but it keeps telling me to re-do my order - how can I get a copy of the pattern - I want to knit a pair for my 7-month old granddaughter
I need help PLEASE !!Im ready to sew the bootie up , In the pic , the bootie when sewn is flat with the heel , if I go to sew mine up it will look like a tube sock ?How do I sew it for the heel?
Hmm I'm not sure how you have it lined up. The back of the bootie (and cuff) are at a 90 degree angle to the bottom of the bootie. The cuff and back of bootie are one long seam, straight down. If you would like to send a pic to me, I can help figure out what's going on with your booties? janet at auntjanetsdesigns dot com
HI, I will try and send you a pic later when my son comes home , the 2nd page of the pattern the top pic is what I have done , I dont understnd where I pic up the sts for the cuff?Help please ILove these booties and want to make them sooo bad !! Thanks Pam
ok I sent it to your email , It is just what I have done so far
I have just finished the first pair. They look great!
I wish this pattern was on double pointed needles. I hate sewing.
There's just 1 easy seam!
I would like to knit these but I am going to try to make them for a 3 and 4 yr. old. they would love them.
Do you think a basic knitter can handle this pattern?
Sure do! It's simple Knit and Purls. There is some picking up stitches for the cuff.
how can i get pattern for this ? do you offer free ones on here ?
Hiya Terry, just click on the picture to the right... Add To Cart!
Now where can I get this pattern as I belong to craftsy but I have not been on their site for a long time???
This pattern is available here on Craftsy, as well as Ravelry!
I would love to have this pattern for adults and older kids with the cuff. It's adorable.
I also would love to see the pattern for older kids/teens. In the opening description, it says there are all sorts of sizing but then when you read further, the pattern offered for sale only has the infant/toddler.
I wanted my pair to be tiny so I knitted them with DK yarn and a size 4 needle. All you have to do is increase the weight of the yarn and the size of the needle. The number of stitches would remain the same. You would pick the size of the bootie that would correspond to the size of the slipper you want. That is sort of a guessing gane. Also I sew some felt on the ball and heel of the slippers I knit. That way it is the felt that wears and not the yarn on the slipper.
Loved them from the minute I saw the pattern here on Craftsy. I made them and sent them off to my Grandbaby. They just make you smile!
Please make this pattern for adults. I know a ton of people I could make these for that are of the "sock monkey" generation.
They aren't EXACTLY the same, but I do have a pattern for Sock Monkey Slippers for adults! Here it is: http://www.craftsy.com/pattern/knitting/accessory/sock-monkey-slippers-for-adults/51765
Adorable pattern, but $5 seems like a lot for just one set of instructions.
If you think $5 is bad, don't go to a LYS.
Can this be done in the round? Is this like a tube sock...no heel? Why pick up the stitches for the cuff?
The cuff is optional. You don't HAVE to add the cuff. The bootie is made in one direction, the cuff in another.
I'm just a beginner and am no good at adjusting patterns for size. Anybody know how I can knit these for an adult foot?
I do have an adult sized sock monkey slipper pattern! =)
Made my first pair! Super easy and adorable!
I did get it, thank you. The problem was with the card I guess. I tried a different one and it worked. I LOVE the pattern!
Where's my download?? I keep seeing the sock monkeys in my cart but not on my download . What am I doing wrong??? I think I even purchased them twice and still in my cart. Help!!!
Were you able to download? I asked Craftsy and they said it was available for you. Please let me know if you've received it yet.
I knitted the clown fish booties, used worsted weight yarn and a size 6 needle, I made the 6 month size. They turned out so big. I knitted this pair using Encore DK and a size 4 needle, They turned out adorable!
Finished my third pair today, great pattern!
Could you please post a picture? My pattern has errors and I would like to see a picture of someone's project that has actually knitted this pattern
Hi , Im wondering if you could help me with the booties? Im having a hard time trying to figure out where you pick up the stitches to make the cuff? I tried to do it on the chain row but it looked like a tube sock ?? Thank you

Super Cute! I have added to my wish list so I know where to find when I finish my other WIP's. ;)
