Pattern Description:

One of a series of three gorgeous small Christmas Gift Bags (Santa Sacks) designed as an alternative to a Christmas Stocking.
This pattern is so versatile and can be used as a Christmas Scented gift bag filled with herbs and spices, or alternatively filled with chocolates and small gifts for little and large people to discover on Christmas morning.
Hang from the mantle piece or display under the tree.
You will need approx 15 Grams of each colour for each gift bag. A small quantity of polyester toy filling for the snowballs. One pair of 4mm (UK8-USA6) knitting needles and 4 x 4mm (UK8-USA6) Double pointed knitting needles. 1 stitch holder and 1 tapestry needle.
The pattern is written and charted. Very quick to knit and because you need so little yarn it's a great stash busting project.
The finished sack measures approx 8" in height and 5" in width


22 sts and 30 rows to 10cm, 4in over stocking stitch using 4mm(UK8-USA6) Knitting Needles.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • One Size: Approx 8" Height x 5" Width


  • 1 pair 4mm(UK8-USA6) Knitting Needles
  • 4 x 4mm(UK8-USA6) Double Pointed Knitting Needles
  • 15 Grams DK Yarn in Colour A
  • 15 Grams DK Yarn in Colour B
  • 1 Stitch Holder
  • 1 Tapestry Needle

You Will Also Need:

  • Small Quantity of Polyester Toy filling for the snowballs

120 yards of DK weight

Preferred Brand/Yarn:

Any DK or Worsted weight yarn
