Basic Skills Necessary:

  • Simple backstitch stitching on counted thread fabric (Aida cloth or evenweave fabric).

Pattern Description:

Very easy - beginner friendly.

The Magic Carpet series of designs are very easy to stitch, using only simple backstitch. Charts are printed in color, and suggested colors are also included in the color key. Only one skein of each color is needed to complete the design.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • Finished size of design is 66x92 stitches, or approximately 4.75x6.5".


  • 10x12" 14-count Aida or 28-count evenweave fabric and approximately one skein of embroidery floss in each of seven colors.

You Will Also Need:

  • Embroidery needle, scissors, and embroider hoop or stretcher frame.
