I picked up my first pair of knitting needles in 2009 and have not been able to put them down since! My first "scarf" turned out to be just a small garter stitch square full of holes, but by the time I was on to my second scarf attempt (which I never actually finished) I was getting requests from friends and acquaintances for all sorts of different things, and I was happy to take on the challenge. Knitting just clicked for me. It was only a short time until I decided I wanted to try and make my own patterns - my head was filling up with ideas. The process of using both the mathematical and creative parts of my brain while writing patterns is just delightful! During that time I also taught myself to crochet and started to dabble in sewing, both of which I adore, but nothing will ever beat my [first] love for knitting.View all patterns by designer (14) »
