I was badly injured while serving in the US Army and was Medically Retired. Not being one that can just sit still I decided to learn something new that was in my limits. And so my love of crafting was born. Mainly Crocheting, Knitting and making Beaded Hair Ornaments. Everything I do is inspired by one of my 3 Children if not all of them :)View all patterns by designer (5) »
I designed this dress because I wanted something stylish yet lightweight for my daughter :) The dress features an oversized ribbed collar and crocheted cables and cap sleeves. It is an A line dress with a comfortable fit. Instructions for the dress are written for it to be a long dress and instructions for a knee length version are also included. Yarn used is WW yarn (simply soft) 3 skeins and a J hook ensure that the stitches are open enough to let air in yet it will keep you little one warm in the spring breeze. Instructions are also included to make a sleeveless one as in the 5th photo. As you can see my daughter loves her dress. She normally isn't a happy model but when it came to this dress she was estatic.
I wrote this pattern with beginners in mind. So it's pretty long winded but if you are an intermediate crocheter you will quickly go on auto drive. Writen for size 2T with instruction for 4T but the dress is easily modified to fit older or younger and can fit much older kids as a stylish shirt! Instructions for the easy peasy flowers are also in the pattern, and how to make them removeable and into Hairbows. If you need help along the way I'm available to answer any questions you may have
