Basic Skills Necessary:

  • slip stitch, single crochet, half double crochet, double crochet, 2 single crochet together (decrease), 2 half double crochet together (decrease), 2 double crochet together (decrease), 3 treble crochet together (decrease) and working through back loop

Pattern Description:

This pattern will make an lovely pair of women's vintage loafer style house shoes. Shoes are made using 2 strands of worsted weight #4 yarn giving the shoes nice body, cushioning and comfort. Each loafer shoe has a tongue with one button for closure. I designed this pattern because I wanted an actual shoe style that is comfortable to wear, easy to make and stylish.

This pattern is for an EASY skill level crocheter. Pattern includes recommended anti-slip item for shoe sole.

The pattern has been tested and the PDF has been edited a number of times for clarity. The PDF layout of the pattern has been carefully planned so that it is user friendly. Pattern contains many pictures as well for help to visualize each step. Along with the pattern, you will receive a sheet of helpful crochet information.


Gauge: 3 Stitches = 1"

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • Women's size 5-6
  • Women's size 7-8
  • Women's 9-10
  • Women's 11-12


  • Size I/9/5.50mm crochet hook or size needed for gauge
  • 3.5 to 4.5 oz. of worsted weight #4 yarn
  • 2 - 3/4" buttons
  • Thread and sewing needle
