I followed the pattern exactly, except because of the gauge I switched to smaller hooks, using a 4.5mm then a 3.5mm. Hat looks great. I used baby yarn even though it's for an adult. Good fit too.

Did anyone else find that it was excessively long? I even took out row 28 as well as row 31-34 and its still too long. Also, after switching to the smaller hook, the hat was entirely too tight to fit on even my 9 year old daughters head so I removed the row and went back to the original hook.

I don't think the photos of completed projects agree with the instructions. From my count, the hats in the photos only have about 24 rows before switching to the smaller hook. That would explain why mine is so long.

I made this hat and it looks fine but when I changed hooks it became to small to get on, I pulled those rows out and did it again using the same hook but it is still too tight, what else can I do?

When I downloaded the pattern it doesn't show the number of stitches for each row like it does on your website.

I haven't crocheted in years. I'm pretty sure I can do this hat but I hope to use some beautiful yarn that I already have. How much yarn will I need?

I purchased this pattern. When I open it in my library the pattern ends after the list of what you. Downloaded the pattern and cannot open the file wouldn't open. I am sad.

Did anyone respond to you. I'm new around here and I somehow printed this pattern. If you haven't been able to retrieve it, I could sent it to you in a message or email it to you.
