Freeform Doily Wrap

Basic Skills Necessary:

  • Chain stitch (ch). Slip stitch (sl st). Single crochet (sc). Double crochet (dc). Triple crochet (tc). Double triple crochet (dtr)

Pattern Description:

Make a beautiful wrap out of doilies you have purchased or made yourself - a wonderful way to use new or heirloom doilies. The instructions tell you how to select the doilies, lay out the wrap (with sample diagrams), attach the doilies to each other, and crochet a border with beads and dangles. No instructions for doilies are included.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • Sample measures 2 1/2' (2 meters) wide x 5 1/2' (5 meters) long


  • Doilies of various sizes in a harmonious color scheme
  • Approximately 300 yards (274 meters) of cotton crochet thread in a complimentary size and color to the doilies
  • Approximately 275 small beads in matching colors with a center hole large enough to fit easily onto the crochet thread
  • Size 6 steel crochet hook (or size appropriate for your thread)
