This 18x24 piece was painted in many layers using Arches 300 lb cold pressed paper, American Journey artists watercolors, and Kolinski Sable and Fibonacci brushes. Is the piece for sale? No What are you most proud of? This was the first painting I ever painted of elephants.

I had played with watercolor paints as a kid but ended up moving to oils and acrylics later on. Honestly a couple years ago I got bored with those mediums and had heard that watercolors were hard to work with and I needed something challenging. I painted this for my grandfather because he loves elephants and I was running low on Christmas money being a single mother. It was quite irritating to paint actually lol I thought I would never get all those wrinkles done. There was over 100 layers of color added with the last 10 or so being gouache to form the misty fog.
