Q&A with Michael Lynne

BobH asked:
How long did it take to complete the landscape and how did you manage to keep the paint mixes wet and liquid?
Michael Lynne answered:
Dear BobH sorry somehow I missed your post. To the question, about 3 hrs. Some of that time was dealing with tv taping issues. I could have done it in a bit less time. I have gotten in the habit of using acrylic retarder which I add a few drops to the "dollop" or into the color(s) I am mixing. This provides more fluidity to the paint and delays the point where the paint sets up. If you use too much it will lighten your color because you are adding liquid the same as water would thin the pigment and thus lighten the color. So the answer is try the retarder knowing that you will have to experiment with it. Good luck! Michael
