La Danse

Project Description

What was your source for this piece? Online Photo or Website Name of website or photo Dreamtime Link to website or photo www.dreamtime.com What type of piece is this? Painting Share a little about the materials, processes and techniques used to create this piece. This was fun. I usually keep a tight control of the paint, or as much control as one can have over watercolor, but with this I loosened up a bit and dribbled and let paint migrate into pre-moistened spaces. Again, trying to make better art pieces instead of portraits unless commissioned. Is the piece for sale? Yes Name of website or online shop The Art of Susan Walsh Harper Link to website or online shop www.susanwalshharper.com

Q&A with susanwalshharper

Kelly Mills asked:
This is beautiful!
susanwalshharper answered:
Thank you, Kelly. :)
joni.earl1699541 asked:
Your work captures such an essence about the subject. This is just wonderfully joyous!
susanwalshharper answered:
Thank you Joni. In the beginning, I thought I'd call it "Joy", but decided on La Danse, mostly because i didn't want folks to think the child's name was Joy.
Montzalee Wittmann asked:
lovely, simply lovely
susanwalshharper answered:
Thank you, Montzalee.
Silvana Calvano asked:
Love this ... beautifully done!!!
susanwalshharper answered:
Thank you so much, Silvana.
Kay Whelan asked:
Where can I buy this??
susanwalshharper answered:
I'm sorry, Kay. The painting already sold to someone else. I do have some nice prints of it on an Italian hand made paper that mimics watercolor paper beautifully, so the print looks like a watercolor. That can be purchased on my website http://www.susanwalshharper.com
