What was your source for this piece? Other Tell us a little more about your inspiration. This is a photo of my youngest granddaughter after a day of playing outside. Daddy was in the house waiting for her to ring the bell. She wanted to do it herself. What type of piece is this? Painting Share a little about the materials, processes and techniques used to create this piece. The is transparent watercolor on Arches 140# cold press paper. I used predominantly only three colors. Purple magenta, gamboge and manganese blue hue. Other colors, ultramarine blue and indigo, quinacridone burnt orange and quinacridone rose. I do many layers of washes. Thank you. My 3 yr old granddaughter was just finishing a day of play in the front yard with her mother. She insisted on ringing the doorbell to see if daddy would answer. Of course he was on the other side of the door waiting for her to ring because my daughter had called him from her cell to tell her how excited Olivia was to ring the bell herself. Oh, to be so easily made happy and complete as a three year old! :)
