Q&A with stitchywoman

CeciliaB. asked:
Hi really like your craft. I want make one for my daughter and I wondering if should I draw the letter first and after the lines? Thank you
stitchywoman answered:
I do. I make the names on my computer and using a workable font, type up the name or whatever, make it the size I want, put a box around it (leaving 1/2 in. on all sides), then print it out. Once it's printed, I draw the vining in with a pencil so I can change it as I go if I need to, then trace what I end up with in ultra fine black permanent ink (won't run or smear if it gets wet). I trace through the glass, so the black makes it easier to see on a light table. Hope this helps! :)
