Princess Sierra

Project Description

What are you most proud of? Princess Sierra was a finalist in the 2010 Fire Mountain Gem beading contest and is featured in their design catalog along with my profile. I really loved working on this piece even though at times I thought I would never get done stringing all those seed beads. I set my goal of getting her done by the entry deadline because I knew she would probably never get done if I didn't set myself a time limit. What advice would you give someone starting this project? If you have a design you have been wanting to try, go for it. As I looked at past winners online and in the catalog, I didn't think she stood a chance but just kept adding and adding elements. She is far more embellished that my original plan. Be flexible and see where your creativity takes you.

What you will need

  • all kinds of beads & trims
  • faux leather
  • doe suedes
  • rabbit fur

Sonsuray asked:
Beautiful!! I just answered your post to my project as well and i'm so sorry it took so long!! How do you know if you have a new post??
CarolynWainscot answered:
I get an email telling me when there is a comment or question. It must be in the way it is set up. I just sent you a question on how to get your patterns where you have them available. I don't know if I would ever have the patience but your work is outrageous and I love it. If you don't get alerts to comments, I think you could get in touch with "Hannah" here at Craftsy to find out how you can receive them so you will know what is going on. Do you get alerts when new designs are posted of people that you follow, I also get those. Happy Crafting!!!
