Mothers Day Contest

Project Description

What are you most proud of? I want to give it to mom for Mother's Day; I'm glad I thought of it 4 months in advance! What advice would you give someone starting this project? Each square only takes about an hour, if you are pretty fast....I think there are 48 squares (6x8); then there is the joining and the edging.

What you will need

  • I chose Impeccable yarn by Loops and Threads.

This is lovely and colourful... I am just a very new beginner.. I love knitting but have only just started crocheting..but I think that I may come to love it
MoonlitCircus answered:
Thank you! I teach crochet at Michaels, and the fastest learners are usually knitters. You already have a 3-D awareness of yarn, and your tension is usually not an issue. Good luck & have fun!

This is lovely. Perfect for Mother's Day. Wish I could crochet. I shall have to give it a go.
MoonlitCircus answered:
If you're in the US or Canada, you can take a class at Michaels. I teach at 3 stores in the San Francisco Peninsula area, but many stores have instructors. You can do it!
DarlenePJohnson asked:
This would be perfect for my Mom! ( maybe for her birthday - or next Mother's Day!)
MoonlitCircus answered:
I started it 4 months ago and worked on it intermittently. It took me about 60 hours and I'm pretty fast. Give yourself plenty of time! Nothing is worse than rushing when you're crafting....
O. Lewis asked:
Cool! The square resemble spools of thread!
MoonlitCircus answered:
Yes! It was a simple but fun project!
