Felt Play Food

Project Description

What are you most proud of? I won third place at the State Fair of Texas 2010 in the felt category! What advice would you give someone starting this project? Don't think of all of the pieces at one time. Pick one thing, say a slice of bread, and go from there. Draw it out on paper and just have fun with it!

What you will need

  • Felt of choice
  • hand sewing needle
  • embroidery floss
  • polyester fiberfil.

paulasloan asked:
Wow! You did an awesome job! I find myself wanting to go out and buy more felt and give it a try!
tinkartist answered:
You should. There is an easy outline on how to do them on my blog. http://tinkartist.blogspot.com
MrsWright asked:
Very cute! I was at the fair that year. I am so sorry I missed seeing these in person.
tinkartist answered:
I am doing a cake for the entry this year...we will see. Last year, they had it on the little bitty partial wall in the back corner down and across from the jams.
oneoffour28977 asked:
Excellent! I would have to have a pattern. No talent for drawing. You should be very proud of these.
tinkartist answered:
trace some of the foods, it really is just basic shapes. Trace a square of cheese, slice of bread, pc of bologna,... Good luck!!!
Yarnmermaid asked:
Wow very realistic! Wish I had these when I was a kid!
tinkartist answered:
make them for your kids or grandkids or great nieces and nephews?
difair asked:

tinkartist answered:
ty...I hope to be selling these at shows sometime next year!
