What are you most proud of? They came out almost exactly like I pictured in my head! What advice would you give someone starting this project? Don't be afraid to try out some of the "fancy" accessories that you can use with your sewing machine! I used my ruffler foot to pleat the black accent and was so very happy with how it came out! (I had it make a pleat every 6 stitches.) And just because a technique is designated as "heirloom" doesn't mean you can't try it in another setting! I used maderia applique to get the scroll scallop at the bottom of the damask print. Because the fabric was a home dec weight, it was a must to use water soluable thread in the top and bobbin area. I didn't have a pattern but if someone wants tips or hints on how to mimic these, just message me and I can run you through what I did.
