A different flower bookmark?! (Tatting)

Project Description

What inspired your project? Online Photo or Website Name of website or photo Spring Flowers Bookmark Link to website or photo www.ringoftatters.org.uk/patterns/jpatterson/jp.html What are you most proud of? I changed the pattern a teeny bit and used two shuttles, so I could make the one ring below the flowers in green, but otherwise I followed the pattern pretty closely. I ended with a lock stitch chain and some rings at the end of the tail. What advice would you give someone starting this project? Definitely starch the finished bookmark if you make it in the same thread this thick. In a smaller size, it might be stiff enough, but in the unsplit embroidery thread, it definitely benefited from some stiffening. I used the highly precise starching method of squirting some Elmer's glue in my hand then dumping in a bit of water, mixing it up and then squishing the bookmark around in the mix before laying it on some foil to dry.
