The pot measures approximately 27cm in diameter and 40cm from tip of the nose. Have you heard of Hypertufa? It's lightweight, looks like carved stone and really easy to make. One trip to the hardware or garden store is all you'll need for the materials (cement, peatmoss and perlite.) You'll also need to own or buy a terracotta pot or a similar pot like the one shown in the photo as it will be used to hold the curing echidna pot. You'll also need two craft eyes. This project will take about an hour to make and a couple of weeks to cure before you can fill it. I'll take you through step by step so you can make one just like the one on the cover. You'll also learn: * The art of how to make Hypertufa to create a stunning looking pot * Easy to follow step by step directions * Over 30 colour photos * How to age your the echidna with moss Easy for beginners to follow with step by step directions. (See sample page in photos.) You'll have so much fun creating this, and I bet you won't wait to show it off. Think of all the wonderful gifts you'll be able to make. This is a 16 page detailed step by step tutorial PDF file 2.92MB. You will need Adobe Reader to open. Read the book directly from your screen or print. Ready to try something new? give it a go. I live on the Gold Coast with my hubby and five beautiful children who are usually the inspiration of my work. If there is a greener or cheaper way to creating something I'll usually find it. My other loves include painting, drawing, clay, sculpture, fairy gardens and anything miniature or cute. Please join my facebook page. See what I'm up to, post photo's of your creations.
